When working in systems operating with V Pulleys for taper bushes, the belt enters and exits the V Pulleys  groove rapidly. Especially at high speeds, the air inside the groove does not have a chance to escape and gets stuck. The trapped air heats up, causing the belt to heat up and creep.
In order to increase belt life, especially at high belt speeds, vantilated turbo pulleys should be used.
