Due to it only consists of 4140 steel, it can stand huge amount of nominal torques and high temperature. Since there occurs friction between gears, they are heat treated and worked in the oil pool. in order to keep the oil into the coupling, the sealing element, O-ring is used. Since, it contain O-ring and stand to high temperature, it is proper the rough environment like cement industry and hot environment like hot rolling industry. Besides, they can offer high precision angular motion transmission. Due to its oval or curved gears, they can compansate both angular and offset misalignments. Furthermore, they have resistance to axial loadings, so they reduces the axial load acting on the bearings or bearing houses. in order to obtain economical advantage, they can be produced with nan-oval shaped gears. However, they cannot absorb the angular misalignment. in addition, while oval gears face with point friction, nan-oval shaped gears face with surface friction. in that reason, nan-oval gears can corrode faster.
